Problem
Their public web site needed to be re-designed and re-written to incorporate a shopping cart for a variety of map-based products.
Solution
We created a brand new site which had separate areas for business and home users.
It allowed the user to select products such as aerial photographs, maps and even map-based jigsaws, then go directly to purchase these products online.
The solution was written in ASP.NET 1.1 with innovative use of AJAX technology to update prices dynamically on the page without a whole refresh being required.
Another project for getmapping was a separate site built for a newspaper campaign under the name Aerial Earth. Customers were given voucher codes which they could enter into the site and progress through a wizard-like path to claim an aerial photograph of the region surrounding their house.
